Lately, learning to read the Akashic Records has become very popular. From what I can tell, it’s just like our Eastern practice of “Fāntiān Shū” (Reading the Heavenly Book). It seems quite fun and is actually not that different from my energy reading. But is it the same as energy reading? That remains to be seen. In the spiritual world, the same thing often has four or five different names; it always takes a little time to switch gears in your mind to get it. Comparing the techniques of reading Akashic Records and regression, it currently seems they are just different channels to achieve the same goal. Having both reading abilities and related techniques is likely better for the effectiveness of spiritual healing.

Talent, Learning, and Awareness

But why has reading the Akashic Records become a course? I feel very curious, as many cultivators throughout history have possessed this skill innately. The other day, I was out and met a budding divination practitioner, only in his 20s. I observed his way of reading Tarot, and it felt like with just a little time, it wouldn’t be too difficult for him to achieve the so-called Akashic Record reading ability. This is because personal aptitude for this kind of work is quite important, just like becoming an accountant requires being sharp and meticulous with numbers; a forgetful person could never become one.
However, even with talent and learning, if the ability to maintain awareness and return to the self at all times is not strong, it’s very easy to just become a “tool-person” (Gōngjù Rén) without a self, which would be a great pity. Recently, I’ve often met young people with high sensory and spiritual talents. They can use various tools freely and accurately, so much smarter than our generation. I remember at their age, I was still fumbling through the teachings of various masters and religions, thinking that one day I could become a great cultivator, always watching those senior cultivators who practiced diligently, feeling they were also a group of incredible people. But after all, I am someone with a higher proportion of air and fire elements; practicing diligently like those old seniors seems rather impossible for me. But seeing this generation of young people being so smart and knowing how to adapt, I also feel it’s a bit hard to keep up. It seems I’m stuck exactly halfway between the past and the future.
Practice vs. Chasing Courses: Returning to the Self

But ultimately, who is better? The person who opens their own energy channels through dedicated practice, or the person today who constantly chases new courses? I feel this question is like asking whether broad learning or deep mastery of one subject is better. Currently, it seems there are pros and cons to both. And the result? I believe we can only wait for the future to comment on the overall gains and losses.
But, in the end, the goal of learning is not to become a strange person who randomly connects to others, otherwise, you will really become quite unpopular.
