Frankly, I have been around many peculiar psychics and some spiritually sensitive individuals. My assessment of these types of people varies; they each have their good and bad sides. After all, psychic or not, the important thing is that they are still human. All human virtues manifest in them, and so do all human flaws.
Interestingly, in 2007, I coincidentally participated in a Tibetan Heart Yoga event at a Tibetan Buddhist center. In one part of the event, we had to exchange our favorite books with other learners to read, hoping to broaden our perspectives and ways of thinking. I was lucky enough to receive a book written by a well-known figure in the psychic world. As someone who had always prided myself on having some research into psychic and spiritual phenomena, I really wasn’t interested in such a book. But at the yoga teacher’s earnest request, I had to start reading this book I would normally have no interest in.
Opening the book and reading it carefully from cover to cover, I thought about some of the psychics in Taiwan. It seems they treat their supernatural phenomena like mysterious, unfathomable treasures, holding them close to “sell.” They lack the spirit of exploration into the mystical realm, using a limited perspective to deconstruct many ambiguous phenomena, rather than applying them to the inquiry of spiritual science. This is not only a great pity but also defiles the original purpose of psychic abilities—to expand human horizons. It also lacks a deeper quest for the possibilities of the universe and life. It truly is a great pity.
In fact, there are many people with strong psychic abilities. However, most of them tend to delve deeper into the life phenomena of the universe or enter into more religious studies to expand their personal wisdom. They don’t just use such a mundane, crude perspective to explain karmic phenomena, while remaining indifferent to the true nature of life in the universe.

Generally speaking, psychics (also known as “channels”) can be divided into three levels. One type is unable to control being possessed and forgets the process afterward. Another state is also being unable to control the “borrowing” of their body, but they are fully conscious of the entire process. And a third level is being able to choose whether to be “borrowed” or to simply relay the needs of some spiritual entities. In general, the last state is considered the best, because it means the psychic has effective self-control and autonomy. The first two phenomena have lost self-control and require more practice and training. However, many people prefer to seek out those psychics without autonomy, thinking they can receive messages without the psychic’s interface “filtering” the content. But it’s worth noting—if the psychic’s own quality is poor, they won’t be able to receive support from higher-level deities either!
The information bodies in the formless realm also have higher and lower levels. Generally, a psychic will connect to different spiritual entities based on their personal cultivation state and mental development. If the psychic themselves has a profound foundation in the universe, life, or religious philosophy, they will naturally form a good “vessel.” They will connect with high-level spiritual entities in the information realm and can articulate profound universal and life philosophies to assist the world or help expand human consciousness.
Practitioners of this high-level spirituality usually do not speak lightly of trivial, supernatural matters. They only provide key insights into personal cultivation issues and the principles of the universe and life. However, most people in the world are only busy with their personal livelihoods. Therefore, psychics of this nature, paradoxically, are more likely to become famous than the high-cultivation psychics. It can only be said to be a pity upon pity.
