It could be a long-lost acquaintance, a sudden opportunity, or a powerful yet unsettling attraction. “Gou” represents the wind blowing under heaven, permeating everything. it speaks of unexpected encounters, specifically when a small, subtle force begins to seep into an otherwise stable structure. Psychologically, this is a lesson on the “Shadow” and “Temptation.” When we suppress certain desires, they often manifest externally as “accidental meetings.” These attractions may be highly seductive but can also be destabilizing. As the first line suggests, “it must be checked with a brake of iron.” Stop and ground yourself before an impulse destroys what you have built. Trust that true connection leads to growth, not to losing oneself.

Wind is invisible, yet when it moves, all things respond. Modern life craves romantic coincidences and “electric” connections, but Taoism suggests these are often the Tao testing your inner resolve.
