Rider-Waite (Primary): The Process of Experience / Zen Tarot (Auxiliary): Guidance for the Soul
VII – The Chariot
This card is the “Actual Display” of your current situation. “The Chariot” in Rider-Waite is the “Will of the Mind.” The warrior drives two sphinxes, one black and one white, representing his attempt to use powerful willpower to control inner (or outer) conflicts and dualities to achieve victory. On a practical level, this indicates you are in a moment requiring high self-discipline, overcoming obstacles, and controlling the situation.
Due to copyright issues, BJD Tarot is used to replace Rider-Waite

Zen Observation: 7 The Chariot
Taming the wild horse of the mind requires steadfast concentration. The Chariot symbolizes the will to move forward amidst contradiction and conflict. The black and white sphinxes represent inner opposing forces; only through awareness and discipline can they move in the same direction. This is not conquest by brute force, but by clear “intention.” Stay focused and do not be swayed by the scenery (temptations or difficulties) along the road. Victory lies not in reaching the destination, but in whether you master your own mind during the journey.
