Chapter 1.1 – 1.3: Calculating Your Life Blueprint
Welcome to the MSER framework for numerology. Before we can begin our interpretation, you first need to create your unique “Life Blueprint” (or “Birth Chart”). This chart is the foundation for all our future analysis, revealing your innate talents and this lifetime’s core lessons.
Please have a pen and paper ready. Follow the three steps below to calculate and draw your chart.
Step 1: Calculate Your “Destiny Number”
First, we need to find your “Destiny Number.” This represents your core lesson and the primary direction you are meant to grow towards in this life.
Add up **every single digit** of your full date of birth (Year, Month, and Day) until you get a single-digit number.
Example:
For someone born on May 12, 1985
1 + 9 + 8 + 5 + 0 + 5 + 1 + 2 = 31
Since 31 is still two digits, we add it again:
3 + 1 = 4
In this example, “4” is the Destiny Number.
Step 2: Find Your “Spiritual Number”
The “Spiritual Number” represents the “inner talents” you can use to develop your Destiny Number (lesson).
This is the **second-to-last, two-digit number** you got before the final calculation.
Example:
In the May 12, 1985 example, the sum was 31 / 4.
In this example, “31” is the Spiritual Number.
Step 3: Draw Your “Birth Chart”
Now we have all the materials to draw the chart. This is the most crucial step. Please follow the symbol rules below carefully to fill in your 3×3 grid.
- ○ (Circle): All digits from your **”Date of Birth”** (0 is not counted).
- □ (Square): Your **”Destiny Number”** (the ‘4’ in our example). This is your core lesson, marked with a square.
- △ (Triangle): Your **”Spiritual Number”** (the ‘3’ and ‘1’ in our example). *Important Rule:* For the digits in your Spiritual Number, **if a digit has *never* appeared in your birthday**, mark it as △ (a new talent to learn). If it **has* appeared in your birthday**, just add another ○.
Charting the Example (1985/05/12 = 31/4):
-
Birthday Digits (○):
1, 9, 8, 5, 5, 1, 2 -
Spiritual Number (31):
- Digit
3: Did *not* appear in birthday → Mark as △ - Digit
1: *Did* appear in birthday → Mark as ○ (This is the 3rd circle in square ‘1’)
- Digit
-
Destiny Number (4):
- Digit
4: Mark as □
- Digit
Now, fill these symbols into your 3×3 grid. When finished, your chart should look like this:

Congratulations! You have completed your personal Life Blueprint.
This chart is the starting point for our MSER exploration. It has no absolute “good” or “bad”; it simply presents your energetic configuration. In the following chapters, we will follow the MSER framework—not to “define” you, but to “co-interpret” with you what these symbols (circles, lines, and empty spaces) reveal about your unique talents and potential lessons.
